“Challenge from: me (choice of teams vs choice of Elrays teams, we both came up with Norse vs Woodies to keep things close)

The ref decided the game. The Norse got the ref in the first half, got the ref again in the second half, hence why my foul column reads +13 - more fouls than I ever committed against anyone, anytime, and doubtless will change my statistics so that I look like a fouling @sshole :(

In my defence, I never had, nor ever will, in my ranked teams, any dirty players (to my knowledge anyway!), and that's probably why I do hopeless in the few tournaments I enter. Well, that and playing crap.

Elrays' team bravely weathered the storm, but ultimately were thinned out to 3 players by the end, though thankfully (I foul to reduce numbers, not kill teams) no worse than Badly Hurt (3) and a mountain of KO'd players. I went 1-0 down, fouled my way to hardly any Woodies on the field, and Equalised. All the Kos came back, so I feared the worse. The Woodies never touched the ball in the 2nd half though :S

Oh, and Elray still had the apo, so I still fouled :S

2nd half saw me thin the Woodies right down, the Ko box overflowing, until his amazing Wardancers finally failed a dodge and got a serious Injury. The apo succeeded, preventing a niggle and so my fouling fun came to an end, as I thought it only the fair thing to do seeing as the game was decided just about, and without an apo any fouls would have been downright nasty. If he'd used it earlier, I'd have stopped fouling then, but I ain't gonna tell opponent that :P

Without the ref I would have lost, simple as that. The Woodies didn't even KO a single Norse as far as I recall though - unusual because the teams name reflects what sort of punishment I expect :S However their dodging was for the most part immaculate, and the leaps astounding. My thuggish Norse could only blink, stare, then foul some more :S

Thanks for the game Elray, you're a true good sport, and I'm glad you came out unscathed, shame you didn't get more cash :( Rematch anytime, probably without the ref and a 10-0 whupping for me thanks to your Wardancers and their dodging buddies :S With a couple of catchers to help, they'd be unstoppable scoring machines!
