“The Ghulans played a text book first half. Smash rats, take ball, smash rats some more! That being said, I'm sure the coaches will be having some words with "Rat", the lineman that stalled on turn 5, 6 and 7 giving his teamates more time to smash the 4 skaven players that remained on the pitch. On turn 7 a failed handoff to the Black Orc "Kenny" at the endzone gave "Newt" just enough room to sneak in, grab the ball and run it out, dropping it just outside the goaline in an attempt to pass it away from danger. "Rat" saw his opportunity to grab the ball back and score his TD, but was unable to get a grip on the ball.
Invigorated by their defensive play at the end of the first half, the Ratmen sent their remaing 8 players onto the pitch to defend once more. The Orc Thrower "Guma" failed to pick up the ball leaving an opening for "Flee Fur" to pick it up and dodge to safety. Flee Fur was able to dodge away in turn two for the first score of the game.
Thrilled to be back on defense once more and up a TD, the Ratmen caught the flatfooted Orcs by surprise when they stormed the Orcs half of the pitch. "Maklem" somehow managed to grab the ball and dodge through the Orcs to the endzone for their second TD in three turns.
The now shocked Orcs, ordered "Father" to hurl "Johnson" across the pitch to strike back quickly. Unfortunately, "Johnson" was unable to make a suitable landing to continue his attack. Again, "Flee Fur" was able to take the ball to safety away from the Orcs reach, while his team stretched the length of the field. The Orcs next surge to the ball was cut short when "Control" ... lost control and fell to the ground. The Ratmen siezed the opportunity to handoff the ball and run "Caultz" into scoring position and guard him for what would be their final TD of the game.
A well played first half for the Orcs, but when the Orc's bad luck settled in at the same time the Skaven's good luck did, the Orcs could only watch as the Ratmen continued to run past them.”
