“After a reasonable start, with Ratfink being a little naughty putting in the boot, the lads managed a nice touchdown, grinding slowly forward under immense pressure from the BBC Heroes, who also let forth with the ritual boot on any downed opponents.
Unfortunately, the BBC Heroes were told that the ratings on the first half show would probably result in sackings, so they pulled out all stops and by the middle of the second halve had effectively cleaned the Orks off the pitch. Despite the occaisonal valiant effort, even Nuffle turned his face from the Orkz who slunk off after failing to mount even a token defence.
3pts #12 Tim Brooke-taylor, who was really a Goodie and carried his team
2pts #13 Bernard Wooley, an able assistant
1pt #1 Jim Hacker, who hacked
Good first half, sorry the second was not as tough or challenging for ya Pat!”
First half was all about the F'Orkz. They lumbered forward with great strides, hitting undead as they went. The BBC tried to halt their advance, but in the end even Tim Brooke-Taylor couldn't side-step into their way. The Orks went 1-0 up, but had lost Gobsmakka and Ratfink along the way.
Second half and two blocks KO'd two BoBs. This made things a lot easier for the BBC, who rushed forward, Union Jack underwear on. Another BH and the first TD was in the bag. 1-1, with 6 turns to score again.
Elan managed to get one BoB back, but it was still 7 on 11. We did well, KO'ing players again, and despite some heroics by Makast, we got the ball and stalled to the end. 2-1 the final result.
Thanks for the game Elan, was most enjoyable.
