Oof, this was just a painful game, dice-wise. I actually counted, and by T3 of the second half, SIX of my turns had ended in snake-eyes. Balls were not picked up, dodges (with dodge) were failed, you name it.

First half also ended with a failed chain push OTT attempt, all I needed was to hand off to a catcher (no TZ, I'm knocked down the skink I was pushing with my last block), and I had a reroll left for the 2 GFIs at the end (many of the snakes were dodges, so I wasn't "wasting" team rerolls on them). The catcher of course dropped the handoff.

Second half, my drive started with 2 failed pickup attempts, which got the ball surrounded in a sea of lizard. Eventually barely sneaking it free from the scrum, I got it as safe as I could to a catcher downfield, who was immediately POWed. Another scrum ensued and eventually I came away with the score and no rerolls left.

His final drive, a failed pickup leaves the ball open deep. With no rerolls, I play it safe and surround the area, not making the GFI's to put a TZ on the ball, but still preventing him getting far with it. A failed dodge by a skink let me clean up the area around the ball a bit, but it was still in a TZ at the end, where a 3+ pickup and 2+ Dodge dodge were all I needed for a 2-1 win. 1

Crazy frustrating game. I spent much of it shorthanded and out of position due to turnovers, and the dice absolutely hated me. I was at 39% at the end of the first half, and the 49% I finished at was a HUGE improvement, which still isn't saying much.

Still, no permanent damage and I can afford a new player. Let the endless rebuilding effort continue!
