A really fun game with a friendly opponent.

The match had its ups and downs - Half One alons was a lot of fun - thougth dark elves scored in T8 on a dwarf receieving drive.

Faels from both sides contributd to a seesaw game, and the Clan Shar final turn stall very nearly backfired - when a dwarf slayer missed his gfi roll on frenzy second block to crowd push the Dark Elve's star ST4 Witch - who was also ball carrying! (the dwarf had an assist also)

Kicking to the Dark Elves the dwarves got it landing in the dark elves endzone..
their throwwer was stranded and the darkelves were startign to lose players to KO and BH and SI bit by bit..

Taking 4 turns of 6 people gangfouling the ST4 Witch meant that time was starting to run out for Ground and Iron, and as they advanced the sliperry Dark Elves did their thing.

Finally 11 dwarves closed around the 3 remaining Clan Shar players in reach of their own endzone - .. a failed dodge from teh ball carrier led to the ball droping intot he end zone and the dwarf runner Hyper Howie was left with a simple pick up to tie the score an dsend the game into overtime.

The Dark Elves had 5 of their numebr in the KO dugout - and they ALL stayed there for the ovetime....

This drastic turn of epic KO roll faelure, was compounded when Ground and Iron won the coin toss, and Clan Shar set up their only 3 players on the Line of Scrimmage.

They proceeded to have two of them carried from the pitch on stretchers by the end of the Dwarven first turn.
The last remaining dark elf was promptly surrounded and kicked a lot!

The dwarves somehow did NOT manage a pitch clearance depite 3 large gang fouls on the last remaining dark elf, and faels on the dwarven side in passing handing off , and even sure hands picking up meant that some fans were left wondering whether they would actually manage the td!

In the end Hyper Howie kept the ball to himself and walked it in.

But the game was not yet over.
The dark Elves still had their Turn 8, and some of their number decided to come back from the KO box now.
The dwarves continued their late game dominance of the match with a Blitz! as the ball was sailing overhead from kick off.

Ron Rubyknuckle wanted to get involved but in so doing left himself vulnerable to a 1D block. - the Dark Elf Blizter used his tackle to bring Ron down - broke his armour with expert precision and must have hit some kind of pressure points as Ron promptly had heart failure and RIPed.
The coach's heart at this point was in his own mouth as he sent out the apothecary, facing the prospect of losing his most prized player.
(2) - Apothercary succeeded.
Clan Liv - the ST4 Witch elf did a nice KO too despite the gaggle of dwarves all around her - but it was a case of too little too late for Clan Shar.

A really fun game. (Will expand 1st half commentary in due course!)
