“The Thunderfists took on the Serpe Verde in a very close match.

The Thunderfists lost the toss and gave the Serpe Verde a chance to score first. The Serpe Verde fans decided to make things easier by starting to throw rocks at the dwarven team and thus stunned one of them. The lizards followed the crowds example and stunned another poor dwarf. This left the road wide open for the lizards, who ran the ball easily near the goal line. The Thunderfists did manage to blitz the ball carrier down, but there were not enough players to hold the lizards off. The Serpe Verde lizards surrounded the ball and started to run out the clock.

This angered the dwarf team and they started to knock down the lizards and kick them in the ground. Apparently this did the trick as a skink picked up the ball and scored the first touchdown of the game.

The dwarves had their chance at retaliation, but time and luck ran out. The lizards were leading 1-0 at half time.

The second half dwarven drive was more succesfull. The dwarves succesfully kept the enemy sauruses in place and moved the cage slowly towards the goal line. Their efforts were rewarded near the halfway point of the second half as Duras Blitzfeet got open ja blitzed his way through to score the second touchdown of the match.

The lizards still had enough time to score the winning touchdown. The dwarves got off a perfect defense which slowed the lizards down a bit. Luck was on their side once more as they eventually did manage to break through the dwarven defense. The dwarves were not left resting on their laurels either. They ran quickly to block the lizard advancement and were even able to blitz down the ball carrier. The lizards still had a big advantage and blocked the dwarves away from the vicinity of the ball.

But that was the end of the lizards lucky run. A skink tried to pick up the ball, but failed to do so thus resulting in a turnover. The dwarves surrounded the ball and the lizards were never able to get the ball during their final turn. The score was 1-1 at the ending whistle.

The Thunderfists were content with the result as victory could have gone easily to the lizards.”
