“DeTroit 2-1 Atlatl

Atlatl started their 1st match at full strength but they were faced with the DeTroit powerhouse. The Falchions took the option to recieve and went to work promptly. With a bad kick putting the ball into the hands of unskilled saurus Ryn Stench'k the lizards started in on the orc defense. In their very 1st action center Bend Wikersen layed out BoB Jerry Ball crushing him badly enough to make him more likely to take injuries in the future. Atlatl was suprised to see the orcs apoth was nowhere to be seen and continued with their drive. The 1st half saw attrition by both team from late hits. Atlatl lost 2 player to the boot for the rest of the match while DeTroits apothecary ran out onto the pitch and revived what looked like a fatality under the sharpened toe claws of the lizards.

The Falchions were easily able to maintain their posession of the ball thru the entire 1st half and walked in the ball with what they thought was no time left. The Lionz proved the Falchions wrong when Lomas threw Brett who stuck his landing beside a defensive saurus then dodged and ran his heart out scoring just as the 1st half whistle blew. Brett was quoted walking in for halftime 'I can tell you for a fact, I have never run further in just one play ever, and I mean EVER!'

With the ball and their numbers replenished the Lionz were able to muscle their way down the pitch keeping the lizards on the ground most of the time. Each time the Falchions looked to have a glimmer of hope a stumble, trip, or poor block led to more Lionz punishment. The lions walked the ball in for the win at the end of the half
