“Pretty brutal match. Early on, the rats looked unstoppable. A first-turn Blitz! and the race was on; Turn 1 score when I couldn't get the ball to safety, and the game went to halftime with the rats up 2-1, having stopped our late scoring attempt at the end of the half.

The second half things started improving for the Stereotypes, and at a frightening rate (if you're rats). One of our DPs killed the Plaguers' rat ogre, and we came to realize that the "chink" in the rats armor is the fact that they don't wear any. 6 of our 8 cas were from regular old blocking, including 3 by Fearful Villager, who was on gutter runner duty, being my only Tackler.

The Stereotypes scored in T6 of the second half, hoping to pound in a late TD through the vastly depleted rats. Facing just 5 rats, and only one of them a gutter, we looked in good shape to do so, especially when the kick stopped at the LOS, in one of our tackle zones. Alas, despite getting the ball briefly under control, our spp-greedy pass to a vamp who could just walk in with the ball fell to the ground. The last remaining gutter snatched it up, and threw a heroic (albeit inaccurate) punt down the field, 1 square too far for me to pick up with a desperate double-GFI.”
