“Great match against a nice talkative coach. The Deciples started off very well when the opposing bull centaur made a risky 1die block against the mighty troll Cornelis. This ended the match for the bull. A little later a hobgoblin was badly hurt too.
The end of the first half saw the Dutch Deciples leading 1-0 in touchdowns and the prospect of 11-9 players second half (with Karel having two recovery rolls for his KO status). All looked bright and shiny and the beer was set cold for a victory party...
Karel had some serious skull trouble and after failing his TS roll he managed to fail his recovery twice in a row as well. This kind of set the pace for the second half when Surrey2 went from playing normal to godlike...
The crucial moment in the match, halfway through the second half, saw the ball safely behind the Deciple lines. Coach Jthorpe made a cunning calculation that this was the moment to gamble and mentioned that he needed a lot of luck. The next thee rounds his team worked a miracle and tied the match. The feeble efforts of the Dutch Deciples to steal the win with a 2-turner were not enough to regain the win.
Surely Jthorpe was very lucky in the three turns leading up to the TD but I have to agree with him that it was the only chance and well worth the try... Must have been great to see your players do it.
The match had some pretty bad results for the team. In his 3 luck-turns Jthorpe not only managed to tie the match but also killed a blocker... This coupled with the dropping fanfactor and the very low winnings means the team will need a bit of recovery...

Great exciting match though... thanks Jthorpe!!!”
