#2 Thorbjörn Fälldin – Dead (RIP) #9 Andreas Carlgren – Dead (RIP)
“What a brilliant, nerve wrecking game!
It started out with a number of cas scored for me, which surprised me especially because they were Dwarf cas, rather than Hobgoblins. I nearly stopped the Crap Hands from scoring, but in the end was unable to hinder the skilled Bulls from rushing through. In the second half, Monotonous managed to stop my first break for the end zone, but I eventually got hold of the ball again, and got through with a nice pass to one of my wights, Gösta Bohman, who was free to score a td in the next turn. Sadly I lost two key players in this game. Fälldin was unskilled, but Carlgren had Catch and Blodge. He'll be missed, particularly in the semi-final.
So, the game went into overtime and sudden death. The CD's were lucky to win the coin toss to receive. But thanks to an unlucky block with the mino, the Ghosts were allowed to close in on the ball carrier. It was a close thing, but the Dwarfs eventually managed to get the ball and run towards my half. Once there, they knocked out a number of players and I barely managed to keep them occupied enough to prevent the score. In the end it came down to a single pick up roll for one of the Bulls, which he failed and the Ghosts were saved by the bell.
Saved indeed as it turned out, when they won the coin toss and advanced to the semi-final. What a great game!”
