"Ironforge Is My Home" claimed a second successive victory at The Ironforge Stadium this weekend, over a combative Valhalla Vicious. As expected the game, which saw two evenly matched teams, was all about the rough stuff.
Both teams came into the game with only ten players, and Valhalla Vicious had the best of a hard fought first half, but failed to break through The Forgers' lines. Once again Bimble Longberry showed his value to the team, as he kept Hoagie the Minotaur under close observation for most of the game, including stunning the minotaur memorably when the odds were stacked highly against him.
The Forgers fans were treated to their first killing on the field, when The King finally caught up with Jens Ballchaser. The Norse catcher had stood up well to regular assaults, but finally it proved too much and The King sent him on his way to Norse Heaven.
The second half saw The Forgers gain a one man advantage and Brette Goldfury had possession of the ball for most of the half. A great late defense saw him knocked over not far from the endzone, but some judicious moves by The Forgers saw him able to recover the ball and sneak in to score an 8th turn touchdown. 26000 fans saw The Forgers score their second win of the season, and the word around the Great Forge is that BloodBowl in Ironforge is set to grow and grow in popularity.
