“The game has been summed up by my opponent. I did target his 'captain' for a rough time, and managed to get those knuckle dusters off the pitch for the majority of the game. I had the dice on my side all game, which meant my opponent couldn't really do much against the orcs superior strength. Having gained the ball in defense in the later stages of the first half, It was decided to retain the ball and try nothing risky, having pulled most of my players deep into my own half in defense. This ensured that the half ended 0-0. Dominance was gained early in the second half on offense and we made good progress towards the endzone and then I decided to try to get one of my BOBs to score, unfortunately he spent 2 turns dropping the ball (was he the victim of a ball buttering?) before the crowd had enough and threw the ball as far as possible from him. The 'nail' managed to collect the thrown ball to score in the last turn of the half. ”
Society of Assassins won the coin toss and choose to receive. For a second things looked like it was going to be a good day for the Dark Elves. Emeyin started off with almost killing an Orc Blitzer but the medics saved him. Damian tried to follow up and finish the Blitzer off but the Ref threw him out of the game before he could even break armor. Emeyin was then hit and knocked out.
Wubdagog's Wanderers played good defense after that and they were very adept at knocking the Dark Elves to the ground the entire game. This made it difficult for SoA to score. A failed dodged left their ball carrier open and he was knocked down a turn later. The Dark Elves never recovered after that and the game went into the half scoreless.
WW received in the second half and they went after the SoA Team Captain again. Emeyin was knocked out to the growing frustration of the Wishmaster. He needed his block and dodging skills if they were going to get the ball back. With their leader off the field, this left the Orcs plenty of opportunities to dominate the Dark Elves and score on the last turn of the game.
