“Atlatl 2-1 Skar Bay

The Falchions went on the road to play the Bucs in Skar Bay. Having been hyped for weeks as a great divisional rivalry, both teams were up for the match. Atlatl kicked off to Skar Bay. With the lizards massive linemen the Bucs choose to run the field vertically and try to stretch out the steroid ridden lizards. An unfortunate failure in the opening play of the Bucs offensive drive put their ogre on his but looking up at the action and leaving the ballcarrier alone in midfield territory. The Falchions jumped at the opportunity and pounced on the ballcarrier and surrounded the ball. It quickly became a defensive effort in which the big bodies belonged to the lizards. Bend Wikersen layed a nasty chop block on Sean Mahan and left the Bucs with some decisions to make about Sean's future with the team. Antonio Bryant retaliated for the Bucs and sent rookie Falchion quarterback Ja'pee Wo'lsin down for a dirt nap. The Falchions walked the ball in for the go ahead score at the opening moments of the 2nd quarter. Kicking off again the Bucs again shyed away from the brutal lizard LOS. Quickly manuvering the ball down the sidelines they were in position to score, but the ball wasn't fully protected. Again Atlatl jumped on the chance and sent the Bucs ballcarrier onto his back. Reclaiming the ball they started looking for a 2nd score. The Bucs recovered and made it a scrum down by the Falchions endzone and just as the halftime whistle blew the Bucs had tied up the score.

Atlatl recieved the ball for the 2nd half and it fell into the hands of Kroy Bierman on the Line. Although the Bucs were able to pry the ball from Kroys hands they were unable to secure the pigskin. The Falchions continually secured the ball and were relieved of its posession for the rest of the half as the ball slowly moved its way to the Bucs endzone. Brian Clark was a one man team for much of the 2nd half providing the dwindling Bucs team with hope that the lizards would be unable to score before the final whistle blew. The Falchions took advantage of finally knocking Brian down by kicking his prone form until the stretcher came out and brought him back to his bench for some recovery time. The Falchions were able to put the ball in as the clock wound down. The Bucs just didn't have enough time to work their magic, finishing with a completion that left them shy of the equalizer.
