“It was a fearsome opponent that lined up on the opposite side of the pitch.
Our drive started pretty good as we slowly advanced on our right flank and managed to knock out a few skeletons. However Daberserker's guys did not let their coach down either as they in turn took out a few of our players.
Daberserker shut down the path on our right flank and we had to rethink our options and retreated somewhat. Then a Mummy failed a block and a gap in their defenses were shown. We took the challenge and made a run for it. However we did not get away as clean as we would have hoped. Some skeletons were trying to catch up. Unfortunately our attempt to remove the skeleton failed miserably and it became very messy. It was just in the nick of time that we managed to sort the mess up and get away with the ball and score before the half were up.
Despite suffering from countless injuries we were able to line up 10 players in the second half(GO REGEN!). But the casualties just kept on coming as we had to put our players in harms way in an attemt to block our opponent's advance. We had our shares of shots at their ballcarrier and managed to bring him down but we could not secure the ball, mostly due to lack of players. In the end it was down to a single zombie to block their Throw-Ra's path and roughly a 1/9 shot of the game being a win. The suspense was high, everyone was watching the fateful block that failed and ending the game in our favor.
Our 5 remaining players cheered in rejoicement celebrating Northern Corpses first win in the Black Box.”
