#2 Cameron – Broken Ribs (MNG) #2 Cameron – Smashed Knee (NI) #5 Rob – Dead (RIP)
“And what a horrible game that was.
Started with an 11-9 numbers advantage, and before the game I thought that would be enough. A lot of cas on both sides at the start, but claw, along with having more dps, started to even up the numbers at first, then really put us behind. It doesn't help either when Cameron trips over on a dodge and earns a permanent injury all by himself. By the second drive, it was Steve and two zombies setting up on their own. A bad kick gave us some hope of scoring as we didn't have to pick up the ball, but we would have needed some sersiouly good luck for that with at least half a team of Chaos to contend with.
Most of the second half was spent with just 1 player on the field. Steve had a go at scoring on his own, but in the end tripped over his own feet while the chaos players were busily ignoring him completely to finish clearing off the last remaining zombie. Brother Theodore managed to survive the whole game, but couldn't even slow the Chaos down as they just repeatedly walked into the end zone.
A game of various extremes on the dice, with 3 players failing 5/5 k.o rolls (1 mine 2 OB's), 5/5 failed regen rolls, two 1s on our winnings, and 3/3 failures on my part to reroll a gfi - this being particularly significant because I already have a bug up my backside about failing the reroll on gfis.
I should be thankful that I didn't lose more players - 5/2/1 (counting Cameron's self-inflicted niggle) is slightly better than average, but if you count Rob's MVP then the two I've lost are the two most highly skilled and expensive on the team. I am very thankful Steve was only BH and survived his aging roll as well though, at least I kept my +stat player.
Twanhlows:
It's a choice of which hattrick is better.
3 Theo Kelly - Good all round performance.
2 William Pettingell - 3 cas, what else do I need to say.
1 Trevor Swan - It's not hard to score 3 tds when the rest of the team clears the pitch and hands you the ball, but if he'd dropped the ball or failed a pickup somewhere it wouldn't have got all the way to 4-0, so he deserves some credit.”
