Elvens Below are rapidly gaining a reputation as a bloodthirsty bunch of pointy-eared muckers, and their following is increasing in number because of it.

A ridiculously entertaining game had it all. Plenty of blood and plenty of touchdowns, with the Black Indians playing their part well. With heroic resolve (and playing most of the game with half their team off the pitch), the wood elveseseses somehow managed to sneak in plenty of scoring opportunities while Elvens Below! (led ably by dirty rotten scoundrel Peklo) kept putting the boot in.

First quarter, Elvens Below received and spent the first few turns hugging the ball and showing extra-special Dark Elvesesesesish hugging to the woodies, such that the woodie lino was killed, one catcher badly hurt and out of the game and 5 others in the KO box. A TD was then sauntered in and the game looked as good as over.

However, crafty play by the woodies in reply meant that they didn't lose anyone else, despite being hideously outnumbered.

By the start of the second half the numbers had started to even out, and an early score put the game back in the balance. Even worse, a blitz and some disastrous blocking to free up some LOS boys meant that the sneaky woodies stole the ball from kickoff and ran in a second!

More brutality from Elvens Below! soon swung the numbers again and the scores were soon level. Regardless, nifty dodging and skipping and general elvesesesish pointyness kept the woodies in the game and a genius blindside feint by Black Indians allowed an uncontested run in for a third TD with only 5 linos on the pitch!

With three turns left to equalise things took a turn for the worse when the LOS completely failed to do their job. One woodie lino on the ground and one dark elf down, with the others withstanding many 2D blocks. A dodge and the ball was stolen from under the nose of O le nu'u-o-nonoa the star quaterback, but a desperate dodge away resulted in a trip and the ball free again. Some better blocking freed two of Elvens Below to get down the line, receive the pass and then they only need to withstand one single die block to take the equaliser. The woodie lino blitzed. The die came down. Skull. A tie.

A fitting end to an excellent match. Probably more fun for me than poor Brunzum though who had to stand and watch his whole team get picked off all game. The first half was a foul war thanks to the woodies getting the ref and me deciding to pre-empt it with my dirty player. I won the war, but lost the ball playing bit...
