We faced off against orcs one more time. We had the stronger team but my opponent was the more experienced coach and had 2 handicaps on his side... I started off defending while my team was doomy and gloomy and only had 2 RR's left. Luckily the fans cheered them up and we gained another RR.
We checked than stopped the Tutto offense and were finally able to steal the ball somewhere late in the first half with still 3 turns left to score. Dreadlord defended well and managed to keep things exciting. When last turn started I "only" needed one 3+ hand off and 2 gfi's for the score. But the hand-off snaked and that was the end of first half.
Second half started with our own offense. Somewhere along the way we lost the ball but were quickly able to contain the single blitzer breakout and recover the ball. Due to Dreadlord his amazing dodges all match long (his team really performed elf-like in that department) things were very tight till the last two turns.
When planning the final touchdown I was suddenly surprised to see a lone goblin on the opponent's endzone. Not sure wether this was a juicy target or a devious trap I decided to let the goblin live and Ignored the "Kill Kill Kill" chants of the Brigade's fans that were only inches away from the poor little creature....
Great game and gl with your team Dread!”
