“Some say mirror matches are boring, and usually I'd agree with them. Then I'll remember this game. Tense and tough from the start. All players are up for the match, thankfully I don't have to waste the apo for Black Manta to play like in round 1. Sputnik wins the cointoss and recieves right away giving the ball to Hthark and getting him right up in a good cage. Taking a big gamble I, shoot off the wizard at the cage in hopes of breaking up the cage. In a dazzling blast the fire ball flies stunning one bull, knocking down the other and a CD and Killing his DP!!. Cage is broken, but still Hthark stands unphased with the ball. Not to let an opportunity go to waste, I wade in but fail to bring the star down. We grind for a few turns. Highlighted by the death and failed Doc of Bulli the vet centaur. On a rare bit of luck I manage to bring Hthark down on a 2dblock against but, as unstoppable as he his, Hthark gets right back up downs black manta and gets the ball back to score on the next turn. I recieve and have two turns to try to tie, but a well timed blitz on the kick off thwarts my plans. Second half we're back to the grind, with sputnik finally starting to catch up on the bash end of things, niggling the inefectual mino, (apo'd) then fouls him with the reach around for a badly hurt. With some back and forth I manage to get a lucky breakaway for a score to tie. Only 3 turns to hold. Alas the mighty Hthark will not be brought down again and wins the game for sputnik on turn 8. Many congrats to my opponent. I wish him the best of luck with his next round...though having killed two of his players and making two more miss next game, combined with him not getting enough cash to rehire Hthark...i have no idea how he'll pull it off, but will love to see it. In closing to all those expert coaches reading to see how this went for furhter rounds...yes you are right I should have gotten Hthark too.”
