“The Silverskulls hosted the Dead and deadly in a match where Nuffle was quite undecisive where to turn. The first half belonged to the undead team as the second was dominated by the orcs.

The DaD won the toss and got to attack first. The Silverskulls were ready for this and got of a good blitz to bring the opposing players down. That was the end of their luck in the first half. The DaD managed to control the ball effectively and send a ghoul to a run towards the goal line. The orcs had built their defense too close to the line of scrimagge and were unable to blitz him down. The DaD scored the opening touchdown shortly afterwards.

The Silverskulls tried to retaliate, but were completely hopeless in moving the ball forward. Either the handling failed or they started falling down on GFIs. Absolutely nothing worked and their attack was shut down by the undead team. Luck was nearing 80% for the undead team at the time. They were excellent at throwing one die blocks and blocking the orcish advancement. The DaD went back to the dugouts with a nice 1-0 lead.

The second drive started a bit better for the orcish team. The ball was delivered to Jax and he moved quickly through the open field which had been plowed clear by the orcs with the help of a quick snap. The undead tried to blitz him down, but managed only to hurt themselves in the process. The orcs scored the second touchdown on the third turn of the second half.

The orcs set up a very close defense hoping to get a chance at charging at the ball quickly. Otherwise they risked a defeat from a steady undead attack. This was the part where the match turned. The ball landed in the very back corner of the undead half. Their mummy tried to block down Grumdrig, but completely failed and knocked only himself down.

Two orcish blitzers started running furiously for the ball while the others tried to block the undead players from doing the same. A ghoul ran to the ball and tried to pass it forward to the middle of the field, but failed. The ball scattered near him. A blitzer ran near the ball, but before the second blitzer was able to blitz the ghoul, the Silverskulls failed in their blocks near the middle and a turnover was the unhappy result.

Luck bounced right back at the orcs though as zooflagellata the ghoul tried to make a run at the ball. He tripped and and broke his neck in the process. He never recovered and was left dead on the field.

The orcs didn't fail for a second time and scored the leading touchdown with three turns remaining on the clock. A touchback was awarded to DaD and they gave the ball to a mummy who started to run along the field. The orcs quickly swarmed the slow moving mummy and stopped the attack on its tracks. The clock ran out and the silverskulls went home with a very close victory!
