“Varkaus Steelers begin their trek through glory against The Last Dark Crusader. Fighting against a chaos team might not be a very good idea in the beginning, but the pesky little Humans are not bothered by this.

The horned devils win the toss and set up their offence. They move the ball up the field, but eventually lose it due to a fumble deep in the Steelers' half. After a brief fight where Steelers roll four skulls in a row during two turns, the Crusaders give the ball to Buxy, who moves the ball easily to the endzone. 1-0 for the Crusaders.

The second drive makes things very uncomfortable as the Steelers' fans storm the field and seriously injure a beastman and a chaos warrior. The road is clear for Steelers to attack. Despite a slight fumble, the human team are able to eventually deliver the ball to the endzone and get the lead.

A touchback is awarded to Steelers on the first drive of the second half due to a bad kick. Olli Ervasti starts the attack very intensely as he seriously injures a beast. Steelers moves the ball up the field, but their attempts fail as they are blitzed down. Buxy performs a huge feat as he picks up the ball and throws it to an open chaos beast. Steelers were almost done for, but did manage to bring the ball down in the end.

Finally Johannes Savikkomaa had the road clear. The chaos players tried to run him down, but all attempts failed. Johannes ran the ball quickly down the field, but alas, was again blitzed down by a chaos beastman. The next few turns consisted of a battle to get the ball back. Finally Steelers managed to kick away the opposition. Savikkomaa picked up the ball and ran for the score.

The Crusaders had their chance to score once more, but the attack was stopped in its tracks as Toxi fumbled with the ball. Steelers swarmed the ball and the game was effectively over. A fine win for Steelers in their opening match.
