“Our company had been charged with the duty to take a bunker defended by a rookie Dwarf enemy company. Without heavy weapons support (we lost our Ogre at landing) it will be a hard mission.
Urquhart and Cook set up the company disposition leading the advance with his newly adquired guard skills.
1st half we had dwarfs on offense. We had a hard fight at close quarters with our guys holding even that they were less protected than the opposition. We managed to stop the dwarven attack almost to a halt only to see one of his blitzers pick a lucky scatter and run to the endzone. Our guys did not manage to get a clear shot on him, but in his rush he eventually step on a land mine blowing his scoring attempt.
2nd half we set a flanking attack combined by a solid los fight. We tested our lino's passing skills but the guys showed his lack of battle experience. At the end Cook took the reigns of the attack guiding Lathbury to the endzone using our speed to score (1-0).
Dwarves had 3 turns to score but fatigue took his toll and dwarves were not able to advance being forced to retreat.
So finally we took the bunker ! and now we are waiting for our next objective.
Lathbury proved to be resourceful soldier (+1AG), we are sure his abilities will be crucial in our next encounters.
