“This was a game of brawn meets...weakness? From the off, Narash Val's gameplay was clear: score, as many times as possible, as quickly as possible, before Biggest Battles destroyed them. A couple of early opportunities, graced by no little portion of luck, saw the witch elf Ktarza Revile picking up dead ball spilled by the blitzers deep in Biggest Battles' half, and skipping over the line.
While the beastmen defence may have wavered and failed to pin down its opponents, the scrimmage line was a different story - knockout followed knockout, with the only strong retaliation being a blessed blitz from Nizita Velo that left Leningrad the minotaur not only knocked out, but sitting out of the rest of the game. But by half time, the relative strength of the teams was evident - 1 KO for Narash Val, 5 for Biggest Battles, to a score of 2-0, Narash Val.
Struggling to keep men on the pitch became the story of the second half, and it seemed a touchdown from Biggest Battles was inevitable - at one point, only 4 Narash Val players remained on the pitch. But that seemed to spur Ktarza on to even great acrobatics, leaping up from a blitz surrounded by three beastmen to grasp the ball and dive across the line, raising the score to 3-0.
There was little fight left in the dark elves after such a gamble though. With only a line up of 7, and 3 players now badly hurt, a poor kick played straight into Biggest Battles' hands. Only four turns remained; with care and deliberation the Chaos team ground their way up the pitch, inflicting maximum damage on the elves while the retaliation saw all blocking attempts foiled by bad luck and weakness. Ensuring their ball holder, Belorussia, crossed the line on the final down, the score sat at 3-1. ”
