“Holy cow. This was a blood fest. Slaan managed to get all their Casualties early on all in the first half. That plus some bad play on my half meant they quickly scored off their drive and then again quickly scored while the Insanity Offence fumbled the ball around.

Insanity began to fight back and blitzer Dan Daud managed to badly hurt a skink using his tackling ability. The Avengers didn't like this very much and killed him the next turn. Naturally the Apo went and rolled a 1 and failed. The Brawl continued with Insanity scoring another BH and a kill. My opponent also rolled a 1 for his Apo roll... Somehow, I think both teams need new Apothecaries.

Second half began with a semi decent drive by the Insanity despite being low on numbers. Pressure was too good eventually and Insanity were forced to throw with a catcher to a wide open and isolated Ogre. Naturally, the Ogre dropped it and chaos and more fumbles ensued. Second half wore on and unfortunately for the Avengers, a misclick meant that instead of scoring a third touchdown, the skink Hzwen fell one square short. This opened him up to a 1 dice blitz from star catcher Raving Ron who promptly went and niggled him. Fumbilitis finished the rest of the game.

Was a fun and interesting game. I must say I felt close to conceding early on due to very heavy casualties and an outnumbered squad facing a lot of Str4 Mighty Blows. Glad the Insanity managed to fight back some, but unfortunately were never near threatening the scoreboard.”
