#1 Naka`Kuani – Dead (RIP)
#4 'tzkuin-naKatl – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#4 'tzkuin-naKatl – Smashed Knee (NI)
#11 toxTli – Dead (RIP)
Putting their last, slightly embarassing draw behind them, the Lizzies took to the field against Coach Barres disturbingly professional-looking Khemri.

The game was a tough one, and started out with a very panicky, unfocussed play; a number of poor moves and even poorer blocking saw rookie Saurus `tzkuin sent off the field with a crippling injury after a nasty foul from Rotost... Time will tell if he will keep his place in the team. From there, the game all but fell apart, and it took captain Tamalli all of his leadership to pull together a scrappy offence which took advantage of a lucky throwin from the crowd, allowing the newest skink on the team (and the only one left on the field at that point) to scoop it up and run away for a TD.

Setting up for the second half, things didn't look impossible for the Lizzies, despite having three players in the injury box, including a dead skink. A token defense saw the DRW through for the equaliser in the 4th turn, leaving a shining ray of hope beaming down on the Lizzies dugout, as their coach exhorted them to play as they have never played before, and steal a win.
The ray of hope grew brighter after the kick off - the fans, clearly upset at the bullying tactics of the Khemri side, were in an uproar, and an unknown hand threw a rock with pinpoint accuracy, stunning Helkeek the mummy - just as the ball landed on the pitch in exactly the right position for a drive down that side of the field.

Unfortunately, it wasn't to be, as, despite a quick pick-up and a run down towards the endzone, Totol, worked up as usual, got carried away and left a hole open for the Khemri blitzer to sack young bLimi-tl. Warling Cackle, Thro-Ra without peer, scooped up the ball and sent a long pass down the field with astonishing accuracy - only for it to be put down by the receiving skele...

Twahnlows:
3pts - #3 Sculptake Wringwrench: A tireless blocker, this mummy did his best all day, sending 3 players to the injury box, including the two RIPs...
2pts - #7 Warling Cackle: Thro-ra par excellence, gives this team the ability to play the ball. Even without the mummies sending players off the field, this guy would give DRW the winning moves.
1pts - #14 Rotost the Infectious: For the foul that sent the first Saurus off the pitch, and heralded the theme of the game.

#14 Rotost the Infectious – Smashed Knee (NI)
A tough fought draw, we probably should have played a little more conservatively, but there was a winning streak on the line so we had to go for it.

First half was bloody and after some solid defence, a failed pick up which spilled into the crowd was promptly thrown in to the path of the lone remaining skink, after a little bit of work he made the score, 0-1. (Lesson: remove ALL skinks, don't leave any on the pitch)

The second half saw a numbers advantage growing for the DRW, and after some deliberation a fast score was made (4 turns is fast for us guys) and there were 4 turns left to see how the game would resolve. Again the crowd had a say in things along with a very fortuitous kick for the lizards, landing it right in the midst of the one sided set up and a rock weakening the defence on the same same. The Lizards looked like running away with it until Totol'naKatl got carried away with a block and left an opening on the ball carrier, from there things were looking safe. A last ditch effort almost paid off for the DRW with a Long Pass finding it's target only to have the receiver put it down.

Twahnlows:
3: bLimi-tl, put on the moves to make use of a tough chance in the first half to score.
2: Totol'naKatl, made the error in the end, but took out the DP with the lizards only cas.
1: naca'Tamalli, a solid game removing a few players temporarily
