“Atlatl 1-1 Washington

Week 14 saw the Atlatl 'n' Falchions travel to play the Washington Redbeards. Noone expected the brutal play that was about to unfurl before their eyes. The lizards recieved and elected to kick. Teh Redbeards true to their nature moved methodically to set up their offense. Bend Wikersen began the Falchions defensive effort by drilling star slayer Joe "Chicken Legs" Theismann Joe is recovering but many believe that this may have been a carreer ender and are expecting to see Joe join the Redbeards coaching staff. Wilber "U.S." Marshall the Redbeards enforcer delivered what fans in Atlatl claim was a late hit on a downed Saur. Again the big lizard looked to have recieved a fatal blow, but when the apoth trotted out with his trusty electric eel headwrap he was able to reset the Saurs tiny brain and he walked back off the pitch satisfied at keeping the hulking lizard on the pitch. The blood continued to flow as the lizards blitzed in and popped the ball free from seeming protection. The flanking skinks quickly swooped around and snatched up the ball. Atlatl had the dorfs demoralized having taked 5 of their team off the pitch and only keeping a 6th on thru the skills of their apothecary after a late blow. Atlatl walked the ball in just as the halftime whistle blew, with dwarfs refusing to stand up on the pitch for 3 running turns.

Atlatl 1 - 0 Washington at the half.

Atlatl was now receiving and was ready to dish out more punishment. They took the 2nd half kickoff and put the ball in the hands of relative unskilled saurus hoping to get him a feel for the game. The Falchions also pushed around the dorfs and sent one to meet his fans. They were kind enought to only badly hurt him, he is expected back next week. The falchions new improved cotton armor for their skinks seemed to be holding up as the dwarfs were unable to put the skinks off the pitch. by the end of the 3rd quarter the lizards had driven to the 25 yard line but looked to be stuck. A timely blitz was able to free the ball and with a dodge with time running out the dwarfs had a guy at the falchion 30 yard line. Atlatl continued to put the hurt on the dorfs and kept the ball surrounded. Clinton "Sheriff Gonnagetcha" Portis was able to sneak in after a few timely hits and snatch the ball out from under the talons of the lizards then dodge away and pass the ball off to John "Riggo" Riggins Atlatl quickly marked John and looked about to blitz him with a big saur when a freeing 2db failed. Clinton blitzed in and knocked the SS skink to the ground freeing up John for his TD run. Both Clinton and John were asked after the game if they knew they had this in them. Clinton replied for both of them. 'Ai, mate. I wuzzun runnin ta do anythin but git off da pich, didja see tha size o them lizzies. They are massif.' John added 'I'z juz glad ta hav tha ball when i ran, then noone thinks we wuz scared, just playin the game as we could.'

Atlatl 1 - 1 Washington

Atlatl stands at 8-2-4 and travels to San Fran for their final regular season match next week, Atlatl holds a 2 point advantage in the standings for the last playoff spot and a win will clinch the spot for them.
Washington stands at 10-1-3 and has clinched a top playoff berth with a first round by.
