“69'ers 3-2 Atlatl

The final regular season game for the 69ers and the Falchions was a bloodbath. The falchions came into the match expecting to have to deal with the speed and agility of the elves but were suprised at their ferocity. In the 1st 4 turns the 69ers were able to whittle away at the big guys and bashing power of the Falchions line. Late hits took out a big saur and the Kroxigore 2 times. The apothecary was able to walk out and patch up the big krox after his 1st serious crushing. The 69ers were able to run down the pitch each time they got the ball and regularly scored within 2 turns. Atlat answered back with a relatively quick score of their own as a tie was no better than a loss for the Falchions playoff hopes. It was an all or nothing. Atlatl's big boys kept pounding away and were able to inflich injuries to the smaller elves. In an odd play at the end of the 1st half the lizards decided they wanted to crowdsurf Iron Man 69ers strong man Bill Walsh. He stood up in the crowd and wlaked back on for the beginning of the 2nd half.

Atlatl was recieving in the 2nd half and continued to push the pace. They scored with most of the 4th quarter left in hopes of a quick strike to get the go ahead score. San Fran was too savy and their ball skills too developed. Even with the ball knocked loose the 69ers were able to scoop up the ball and pass it forward for the game winning score just before the final whistle.

Atlatl finishes at 8-2-5 and is awaiting the results of St. Louis' final match. If St. Louis can win their final match they will claim the final playoff spot. Atlatl also has hopes for a playoff berth should the Viqueens lose their last 2 matches.
The 69ers finished the season at 5-4-6 and are looking forward to next year.
