“In many ways this game was ill-favored from the beginning. Quad skull blocks, bad dodges in exactly the wrong places, and balls squirting out of perfectly capable hands. No wonder it ended in a tie in OT!
The Tor Elyr War Griffons played excellent defense in spite of being short-handed after the first half. They danced around like... well, like Elves, and harried the Undead left and right, stopping two TD drives and completing one of their own. With just a little more luck this game would have gone to Love Transcends Death... but such was not their fate, and it ended in a tie in overtime in spite of the Elves being at a disadvantage from the first whistle.
The fans, however, loved watching Unbridled Passion and Scribbled Notes work over the Elves, and will no doubt return in greater numbers to see more of their handiwork! In spite of being the fan favorite, the Undead's fortune kept up its bad run on the after-game coin flip, and they were eliminated from the tournament. One might almost wonder whether there was a certain prejudice against the "otherly energized".
All honor to the Elves for excellent footwork in the face of superior numbers and the blood of their teammates enriching the pitch!”
