“Going into this game Coach Russo would have settled for a draw, for whilst B'Orca had a TR advanatge giving up two handicaps they were also 23 TS down thanks to Messi and Fabregas missing out. Messi being a Str4 tackler was a big blow when dealing with stars like the Duke. But when the chips are down B'Orca somehow find another star to step up into the breach....enter Zambrotta.
Zambrotta has been a first rate player for B'Orca all his career, but as a humble lineman has never been a star. Today was to be different though. In the first 4 turns he blocked and MNG'ed both a Reavers Blitzer and a Reavers lineman, before MNG'ing another lineman through a foul in the second half. His performance was phenomenal and really made the difference, as Reavers found themselves on the backfoot despite starting in a stronger position.
B'Orca did have to work hard for their first half score through Gudjohnsen, and had to defend desperately for the last 2 turns against the "Fat Fella" to ensure they went in to the break with the lead.
Second half saw the Reavers recieve and go straight on the offensive, and for a short while the B'Orca defense was looking good, but the Duke proved how good he was and managed to score doing one of his trademark skips to the finishing line for a fruity kiss with his many male fans leaning over the TZ Line!!
B'Orca had a couple of turns of keep ball left to play with and did not want to concede. Switching the ball abut behind their lines worked a little, and a mad dash by a lineman was made just in case Reavers defenders made a hash of it. They didnt and the game was over. ”
