It was a fine match in glorious sunshine, and with the blessing of the goddess, we kicked the ball. Due to superior ball handling skills and a surfeit of ability, our princely players were able to move around the opposition with ease and secure the ball.

The grubby little urchins proved their inferiority for the remainder of the first half, for they were unable to wrest the ball from our firm grip. It has to be said that the Dwhin Athel supporters felt sorry for the miserable greenskins, and as tears were rolling down their dirty faces, Castho, accompanied by two of his brethren decided to temporarily exit the pitch, offering the Oldboys a fighting chance. This kind offering was to no avail, and so Angtahl carried the ball into their endzone to score.

In a gesture contrary to the merciless image normally described when one discusses the goblinoid race, one of the trolls (despite having personal hygeine problems a Daemon of Nurgle would be ashamed of), chose to deposit the ball at the feet of our thrower (with attached goblin), presenting him with a perfect opportunity to practice his passing before the end of the match.

The second half proceeded in a similar manner, with the elven ball skills winning through for a second touchdown.

It was interesting to note that in spite of the negative persona attached to the greenskins, particularly by our good friends the dwarves, the goblins present today behaved themselves perfectly. Although, it must be said, their reputation as inferior blood bowl players is confirmed by the number of self inflicted injuries, including the death of a piece of lichen named 'Tenpole'. He shall not be missed by the wider world of BloodBowl, one fears.

Our award for 'Players Man of the Match' is granted to Alta, our blitzer, who played astonishingly well, manouevering deftly through tackles and blocking with strength and skill. His time with the monks at the Shrine of Asur has surely paid off.
