The season disintegrates further for the dwarves with four missing for the next game.

The ref showed the dwarves the coin, and then pocketed it, slipping neatly into his chaos warrior armour, before lining up with next to the troll.

Home advantage was a real gain for the chaosites, with tripwires, pitfalls and acid rain all adding up to make the game particularly a particularly painful one for the dwarves.

It all looked so hopeful, with the dwarves needing a rerolled dodge to get away for a likely 1-0 score halfway through the first half. But then Khorne, sitting in the front seat of the crowd, stuck out a foot and sent the dwarven runner stumbling into the dirt. A couple of level 4 spells later, and a daemon horde takes to the field, replacing the rather inept blockers that were initially fielded.

Five casualties were a tough break for the dwarves, killing the competitiveness of both this game, and the next few. Four of the injuries were permanent, with two players to be retired. Worse still, a landmine took out Janizar Arclight, who was heading infield to tackle to ballcarrier late in the game. The Tunnefighters' star player will undergo surgery on his knee over the next couple of days, before he decides what to do with his professional career as a BB player.

Nonetheless, he walked (limped) away from the game with his pride intact and the MVP cup with his name engraved.

Full of bile at the whimsy of nuffle's apathy, dwarf runner Voldrick Kuldjargh left his opponent screaming for mercy late in the game with a swift "runners' boot" to the unmentionables. He was heard to say at the time: 'Vricking KuldjARGH...'

OOG, suffice to say, a bit of a dicing. My 'luck' ran around the 40% mark for most of the game. Would have liked a closer one, but 'twas not to be. Next time Pete! And the dwarves'll be hosting... 8)

Archevol is a true hero to have managed such a severe dicing without a single expletive!

Sir, I salute you!

And yes, I was jammier than usual. The cherry was a caught throw in after a inaccurate pass went OOB.
