“The Nagarythe shadows boasted before the game that they'd be running all over us on the pitch. Instead, due to some well place laxitives, three of them spent much of the game doing their own "runs" in the bathroom.

Good Wood elected to kick off and looked in good form at first, Lola intercepted an early pass and dumped it to Beatrice. She streaked down the sideline but outpaced her blockers and was dropped by Cyanth. The ball floated in the crowd and, incredibly wound up in the hands of Lola (hereafter dubbed "the magnet"). Unfortunately, she attracted the opposing team as well as she attracts balls and despite a heroic one on one effort by Jessy the shadows pushed through for the score. When the dust cleared Sara was carted off the pitch.

After getting the kickoff Good Wood tried for a quick answer but instead were intercepted! A defensive stand early by both teams. The shadows threatened to score when who happened to break up the hand-off? You guess it, Lola. Scooping up the loose ball, she quickly passed it to Beatrice who this time took it all the way to the bonus round.

The second half was much less exciting, Good Wood got the ball to Ursula early and caged, sending a few receivers out who were promptly stuffed by the shadows, but working down the field slowly. The war of attrition ended in Beatrice's second TD and a win for the ladies of Good Wood. They'll go home a little battered but happy they were able to eek out a tough win.
