“The wizard's spells to light the field were an early sign of what was to come. The dwarves came onto the pitch, determined not to underestimate another opponent. The Unwelcome Relatives received the kick and proceded to kill Argus Stonehand, Troll Slayer, before they even touched the ball. He will be missed. For his brave inaction before his death, he received the MVP....posthumously.

The game was still to be played, and the dwarves were now angry, as well as tipsy from their pregame alefest. They crashed the line after a failed GFI and managed to snag the ball, scoring two turns later. An acquisition from the previous year's Dwarven All-Stars (Grim Ironjaw) threw his first block as a Noseminer and BH'd his opponent and was the eventual TD maker for that drive.

The Unwelcome Relatives would come back in the second half and wipe the pitch with the Noseminers for the first four turns, enroute to their own score, tying the match. The Noseminers received a niggle on that drive to a longbeard and lost their other Troll Slayer to a KO.

One man down, the dwarves took another swig of dwarven ale and received the ball. They received it with a startling formation, the Dwarven Wedge returned to the pitch and swept the way for Fraffus Shortstride. While the little runner chugged along, the team managed their own RIP on the Relative's wight, Cousin Jerod....no regeneration either.

There was trepidation as the Relatives closed in, but their werewolf didn't have enough movement to get into position. One swift blitz by the ballcarrier and Fraffus crossed the goal line to win the match.

This is probably the most enjoyable match I've played yet. There were no fouls, but no lack of rough play either. BlackBart played very well and complimented my play which feels good....I'm still learning in many areas.”
