“Holy Cliffs 2 - 1 Frogs in Albion
With Steed Malbranque and Pascal Chimbonda arguing about who was the greater player, the Frogs did look like a handicapped team at the start of the game
The Frog's won the toss and elected to recieve first, However a perfect defence from the skaven prevented them from scoring quickly, driving close to the line several times, and only held back by some last ditch defending by the skaven, before they finally scored in T8, a very shallow and wide defence meant that the Skaven were unable to score in the single turn remaining to them, despite the MA10 GR
The skaven made a controlled score in 2 turns, leaveing the Wood elves 7 turns in which to score and secure second place in the Aeryn Regional, but another perfect defence, slowed the plan again, and then some persistant Gutter Runners, aided by side step, managed to get to a suprised ball carrier, and eventually surf him, the ball being thrown back in by an evidently skaven favouring crowd, as it landed in the one place the cliffs had any chance of successfully extracting it from.
Extract the ball they did, and suddenly the frogs were on the back foot, and a desperate blitz freed up the ball but a lack of cover meant that the ball was gathered up and run across the line to give the Holy Cliffs a 2-1 lead at the end of their T7
Could the Frogs manage a 2 turn TD to salvage a draw?
The Frogs advanced into a good position to score, however, careful planning and some good luck ensured the skaven defence held firm. ”
