It's been a long time since Nuffle had been on my side, but this game he certainly was. Not a single snake or double skull, I think I even didn't fail a gfi.

First half seemed to start quite nicely with a fan throwing a rock, killing the opposing dirty player in the process (got apoth'd though). Then chance seemed to switch sides; the block/claw/tackle linerat blitzed one of my wardancers in turn one, badly hurting him. The rats also fouled, but to no avail. I saw my dirty player getting sent off in turn one though (hoped to get rid of the claw). At that moment things didn't look good.

I decided to forget about the foul war (had no other option actually) and started focusing on the ball instead (should have done that from the start, but got carried away...). With some half-lucky blocks I managed a 1d strip ball blitz on the ST4 AG4 ballcarrier, but no luck there (skull, reroll blockskull). The rats decided to take no further risks and went for the 1-0 lead.

Being outnumbered and opposing a claw and dp, things still didn't look too well. However, at one moment Fanatic decided to take his chances and go for the 2-0 rather than preventing the equalizer. It could have worked (his chances were actually pretty decent), but then Nuffle striked and gave him double blockskull on a blockless block. As a result I managed the equalizer fairly easily in turn 8 of the first half.

The second half started with the Guardians receiving. Don't remember the details, but I guess I scored the leading 2-1 without too many problems. The following kick-off resulted in a blitz! Just what I needed. I got to the ball and although the rats succesfully blitzed my ballcarrier, it fell in the hands of another catcher -> 3-1. Then the rats scored back, putting the score at 3-2. Another blitz (this time in the rats' favour) made me panic about the 3-3, but his ST4 AG4 linerat managed to not catch the ball. Subsequently my surehands catcher managed to pick it up, only to get blitzed again next turn. Luckily again the ball fell in the hands of an adjacent line-elf. He handed of into the hands of a nerves of steel catcher, who ran away with it and threw it to safety near the rat's endzone.

Quite a lucky game for the Silver Guardians, who are back to 13 players after what seemed an eternity. Kivan felt very courageous indeed, inflicting 3 casualties and killing the opposing clawer. Way to go, Kivan!

Good game against a good coach!
