“The hard stretch begins. The next 3-4 games will make or break our season. The legendary Skinks get their first taste of DRW attitude.

The first half saw a great start for the DRW, moving the ball atop the broken bodies of the lizards. All looking in hand for an easy score when the trump card was played. A Fireball made short work of the cage and a blitz brought down the ball carrier.

Unfortunately for DRW it was an ideal turn for the Skinks and they manage to sneak away with the ball. The response though was poor to say the least, a blitz opportunity was missed which led to a simple fleet-footed scramble to the clear, 0-1. In their frustration though the DRW managed to put a career ending hit on one of the most famous Saurus in the SWL, Klbll, small conciliation.

Only facing 3 Saurus and a Krox in the second half meant that if the dice were up to it we should be able to force something here. The dice weren't up to it. Failing to get the opponent on the ground, or make it count when we did, it was a simple matter for the faster skinks to shoot through with the win, leaving the DRW lamenting their missing Blitzra all the more. Needless to say the rematch will be a different result.
