“Kori put his feet up on the Hobgoblin slave that he'd had stolen from the Legends' camp after the match and reached for his tankard.
Yes sir, that had been a fine match. He had to laugh as he thought of the little dwarves squirming underfoot as his lads' fists had forced them to eat the turf for pretty much the entire match.
It was good to be back home and even better to see that his peers were still as soft and useless as they were when the Bearskins had set off for their Crossover matches all those weeks ago...

Oh well, sorry for the unfairness of this match M0nty. Did well to keep your chin up! ;)”
“Coach m0nty was found after this game with his hands around the neck of Sam Newman, screaming "WHYYYY???? WHYYYYYYY????"
It took until turn 5 for the WOS Legends to roll a 6. By that time, after a perfect defence on their receive and four doubleskulls in the first two turns, luck was running at 34/74 to the Norsemen. 1-0 down at the half with the numbers still running the same way.
On resumption, the Bearskins received the bounty of a bad kick (even though the Legends were the only side with a kicker) and scored easily on turn 4 after several further doubleskulls on the first block of the turn by the Legends, as well as the second horsie joining a dorf in the badly hurt box. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse at 0-2, my next receive was a blitz with the ball landing safely in a Norse catcher's waiting arms, and then at 0-3, another blitz against me ruined any faint chance of the Legends scoring. The luck numbers evened up slightly towards the end with a few injuries inflicted on the Bearskins, none of which caused permanent damage, plus a few lucky passes which had no chance of causing a score.
It got to the stage where Twahn was cheering on my injuries to his players. My only pluses for the game were a couple of normal skills for the troll and star hobgob Sam Newman. I have had lots of bad luck in the past, particularly with my faction team, but this ranked right up there with the worst rolling games I have ever had on FUMBBL.”
