Well, at least I scored in this one.

Today was yet another example of my ogres (well, this time the gobbos) failing me when I need them most. After the ogres caused enough turnovers to all but stall the first half without trying, Vorbeck managed to catch up to my goblin ball carrier and knock the ball free. Twice I had chances to pick it back up, but the first half ended with no score.

Second half Vorbeck scored immediately on a quick, efficient 2-turn drive. I went to crazy aggressive mode and went for a quick TTM to tie and hopefully still have a shot to win, but the gobbo crashed with the ball and despite a couple shots at recovering it again, Vorbeck snuck off with it to go up 2-0.

My next TTM did work, but that only made it 2-1, and with just 2 turns remaining, Vorbeck played full keep-away defense in his own end to hold on for the win.

Yet another loss for my now 0/0/4 ogres, yet another team left mangled in my wake. I wish someone would soften these things up for me like I do for (nearly) everyone else. :)

GG Vorbeck. Hope you invest in a much-needed apo soon.

#2 Publius Duilius – Dead (RIP)
#7 Aulus Lucilius – Dead (RIP)
#10 Decius Sicinius – Smashed Hip (-MA)
The Crashers entered this game with high hopes and were devastated for their optimism. Although a check in the "Win" column, the feeling on the way home is anything but victorious.

Some ingenious gamesmanship on the part of the Rampage made it a very interesting and tight match, and yes, the Crashers employed some keep-away offense in the final moments of the game to secure victory. Kudos must be given to the Ogres who, despite tactical flexibility, have the determination and power necessary to dominate the game from the line.

An apothecary is desperately needed, but sadly if I keep losing two players a game that is a far off purchase.

Thanks a lot maysrill, I had a blast. See you on the pitch later.
