Our darkies 2nd game is against smallman's new high elves. We've just 10 players but have an apo.. lets see how we get on!

We opt to receive and their kick lands in the endzone. On turn 1 we see a player KO'd on each half and a turnover meaning we haven't gone near the ball yet. The high elves stream into our half, but we hold them back and recover the ball. They go for the ball at the back on turn 2 but their blitzer trips over trying to dodge through, and we throw the lineelf who did make the dodges into the crowd. They counter with a badly hurt on a darkelf lino and we move some players forward- except our nominated thrower (an AGI5 lineelf) who stands by our endzone. This lures them all into our half so we can make a long pass to a waiting blitzer who runs totally out of range of any high elf. We score on turn 5 after burning our apo to stop a MNG (need the players!). Both KO boxes are full up and see two elves sleeping on, so we kick off with 7 vs 9 for the last few turns.

They bash through us relentlessly, KO'ing 2 more before managing the comeback touchdown on their final turn without much trouble.

Disastrously, only 1 out of 4 of our KOs wake up so we have just 6 kicking off to 10 for the second half... looks impossible!

Predictably, we can't compete against almost double the amount of players, and they steamroll over us and start stalling out the clock. Their catcher is sent off for fouling (KOing our blodger), but we have no chance at the ball and painfully watch the turns slowly go by. Until turn 7 that is. They have used all their rerolls, so we go for a difficult blitz on the ball carrier, a -2 dodge (4+) and a 1d blitz: both-down! They now need a 2+ roll to win the game... and roll a 1!!! We dance around the room in jubilation!
