I got first half and found a way to squeeze on his left flank and botch up some form of protection for my runner. He just managed getting in the way, not knocking him down. I took the opportunity to blitz his player away and go for the TD. I wanted to stall a turn because I scored pretty early, but his position didnt let me. But Nuffle decided he liked me, making my kick result a 1-turn delay.

He quickly got his revenge by causing an SI and KO while protecting the ball, sending my thrower in the crowd (my mistake, his good play) plus stunned my RO by fouling it. At this point in the game, with a couple rats missing and probably not touching the ball anymore, my only chance was preserving my 1-0 lead as long as possible and squeeze through a possible opening sometime. So in my last turn of half 1, I managed a pushback on -2D in a cage with a runner just trying to prevent him frm scoring. It wasn't enough. 1-1 at half time.

In the beginning of the 2nd half he managed to protect the ball pretty well on my left flank, eventually getting pretty deep in my zone, and my attempts at breaking through failed. That is, until he failed his GFI for the TD. I got my last stroke of luck of the game by managing to send it back in the middle of my zone to a very lonely linerat. He didn't manage to blitz him down, and instead I blitzed through to the unprotected center of the field. That's where he finally knocked the liner down, but at least it was far from my end zone. After a few turns of getting bashed and me not being able to bring more guys in, he slipped through to a TD in the last turn, winning the game.

Very well played, great game, and now that I lost in all the tourneys I can go finish my league games :p”
