#4 Fitch Rocklobba – Dead (RIP)
#5 Ungra Doomfetcher – Dead (RIP)
Get on board the Awesome Train, this game was just great on so many levels!

So that's my 2nd team trying Norse. I asked to play this game mostly because I feel the need to kill people, might as well be pixels.

He gets perfect defense. Uh oh. That Guard (OddBall) was particularly effective. So I hid my catcher with the ball deep in my zone until I would figure a way out... On his turn he knocks my whole line down, including 2 out the field. Paul Hicks was the first to be CASed, on his very first block. But then I managed to SI one of his few skilless players and make some sort of prtoection for the ball. But on the turn I decided to get out, I played poorly and ended up being easy prey. Look at that ball bounce! And he pulls out a good play, sending my catcher (RIP) and liner (BH) in the crowd with Frenzy. And at that point I had used my apo.

Already down 3 CAS and 2 KO to his 1 CAS, things looked pretty grim for me, especially with only 4 turns done. Another RIP quickly followed. I somehow managed to blitz the ball carrier before he scored, and he then failed a 2D block with no RR. However my -2D block on the ball worked, so I finished the half with 3 players (3 others in KO), the ball in my hands, and amazingly still 0-0 on the board.

But then I had to start 2nd half by kicking with 3 players.

You would expect my remaining men would be crushed to a pile of goo in no time. But no, this is the Crazy Savages. That just can't happen. So instead, they just get knocked down from all the blocks and he fails the quick pass in his zone. So Chris Headbasher jumps out, pulls up a few dodges and GFIs, knocks his thrower down and picks up the ball. And the orc coming to blitz him failed his GFI (only 1 RR really hurt my opponent), so Headbasher just ran off with the ball and scored.

Unexpected.
At this point I'm leading 1-0. I have 2 or 3 RR left, and now 6 men can be fielded (5 CAS). 6 turns to go.

As soon as the kick is made, he gets a hold of himself and SIs a liner on his first block and then BHs another. 4 men not CASed. Again, I pull out a few dodges and GFIs, but his ball carrier is only pushed back. My other players however manage to BH an orc, if you can believe it at that point! But net turn he made sure there was absolutely no way I could reach the ball, and he hurryed in for the score.

1-1, 4 men left, he has 3 turns to score. I keep 1 liner deep enough to pick up the ball and not be blitzed this turn, I figure I can stand up a player and pass near the LOS later. But in his turn, he's unable to get my men on the left side down. As planned, I get a liner free and pass to him at the LOS. He has a few players waitig for a pass in my zone and 2 turns to go. As you can guess the ball carrier is blitzed off (KO) and he takes the ball at LOS. I try one last time to knock the ball down, but only get a pushback. In his last turn, he goes for the game-winning pass... and fumbles! I can't score on my last turn, but just getting a tie at this point is victory enough.
