#2 Horket the Furious – Broken Ribs (MNG)
“Game III for the dark elves and we're still not back to 11 players. We're up against Jinxed's brand new chaos dwarves, giving up one handicap of buzzing on a blocker.
As we set up their coach reveals he has never, ever coached chaos dwarves before!! We quickly tell him some superb 'pro tips' that we just made up, hopefully they take the bait :D
We kick and attack hard from the beginning, though our chances take a slight dive on turn 3 when a rookie hobgob MNGs our blodge blitzer with a gang foul. We use the apo, but he fails! They then steamroll on through us, giving us little chance at the ball, and KO'ing 2 elves and badly hurting another one before scoring on turn 8.
With 2 chances both our elves wake up giving us 8 vs 11 for the second half. Fortunately we manage to foul a blocker into the KO box on turn 1, evening the numbers out slightly. But from there on it's back to our failing ways as we can't string more than a single 2d block together per turn and our players spend the entire half lying down or leaving the pitch. On turn 4 a hobgoblin intercepts our desperate pass to get the ball downfield, sealing the game. They score with ease on turn 8 to win it.

First foul ever sent a delf blitzer MNG.
Blocks went superb. Managed to sneak in a handoff to the Bull at the very end of the first half.
The battered delfs were nowhere near threatening it and he scored.
Second half he held back a player with the ball while the rest of his team tried to sneak past the wall of dorfs with augmented green.
Their numbers simply were too few.
With the Bull breathing down his ballcarrier he had to try something desperate.
That is the moment when Nuffle laughs his most evil laughter and rubs it in.
Hobgob intercept.
I even had the cheek to hand the ball to the Bull once again for a skill.
it worked.
What can I say?Ii was the luckier one this game.
I could get used to that. Lovely feeling. ;)
The *only* thing not working was the FF. It did not go up.
But 100k winnings sure make up for a lot of that.
