“2nd match of 145 Club's KO Cup 46. Very cool and surprising that one was!
So the match starts with me kicking. He gets quick snap meaning he can get extra blocks in. But then his luck fades, he manages a ton of pushes and only 2 knocks. But the ball carrier is very well protected. I didn't manage to break through at first, but at least I slowed him down (+ST RO sure helped!). This changed when my RO blocked his troll and got both-down... which ended in an apo'd RIP for him and a KO for me. So his trolls were still there, my RO wasnt. And then a GR gets BH on the next play. I tried knocking the ball off the carrier, who was alone in his zone, but it didnt work. He makes a pass in my zone but fails an early dodge. I take this chance to send the carrier in the crowd and the ball counces to mid-field. After much scuffling for it, I find myself with 3 players on the field (5 KO), a failed apo, but still tying 0-0 at half time because he failed his stupid test for TTM. Phew.
I get my RO and 2 liners back, so it's 8 vs 10 for the start of the second half. I st up to make my star GR go deep in his zone, but he gets Perfect Defense :( But I still manage to go through after my RO stuns a troll. My protection is a bit deficient and he manages a RIP with a goblin on my star GR :( I ed up getting the ball, we both get a few players thrown out, my RO is left by himself handling the trolls, but I decide to take my chance and stall because there's lots of time left. Luckily, even though he knocks my ball carrier, most of the nearby goblins get sent off the field one way or another, meaning it's now 6 vs 5 in my favor. I stall for a while, trying to foul a troll out, but in vain. So he has 2 turns left when I decide to score.
After getting the ball, evidently the much-awaited, game-deciding TTM occurs. The troll doesn't go stupid. It doesn't eat the goblin. It sends it deep in my zone. The goblin lands on his stomach. Phew.
And the game ends 1-0 and leaves a very, very bloodied field behind. Now on my way to the final.”
