“Well it was always going to be a hard game. And that was before they brought along Hthark and a Wizard. So I'm fairly happy with the result really. No real cas from either side (the 1 in the stats was regenerated), just one huge massive party in our K.O. box. We miss prem, but with no wolves and no cash it wasn't much of a prospect anyway.
Turn 2 and it was already time for a desperate pass into the endzone, as we found ourselves oppressed by the opposition's superior strength. We missed the pass (and the receiver was surfed of course), but otherwise got a lot of good rolls that half, to no avail whatsoever. Despite the odd triple skull the opposition had no trouble scooping up the ball and running off with it to score.
We managed to force a score at least, and a blitz k.o. result turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as they committed themselves forward to run down the ball, leaving space at the back for Ned to get away thanks to some good passing play. He still had to survive a (rerolled) block from Hthark, but three skulls and a pushback later he levelled the score.
Second half we at least managed to hold on and put up a fight. The fleshies were fouled out very early, but Andrew S and the ghouls were hard to pin down. Thanks to a -2d double pow on the troll (only really needed a pushback but I'll take it) we even managed to get the ball at one stage. Of course as soon as we did there was a massive explosion of fire that knocked everyone over, and they took it back. We kept the opposition rolling dice right up to the last turn though.
Twanhlows:
3 Yurtrus - Looked after the ball second half.
2 Ramenos - Dealt with the flesh golems second half.
1 Bahgtru - For scoring in the first half.”
