“The lizards were looking to avenge our last matchup: http://www.fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&op=view&id=2857180
and would be happy with the results. Steve of the dead were definitively outbashed, and were lucky to come out of it only 1 td down.
Twanhlows:
3 naca'Kuani - Made the key moves to secure the ball in the second half.
2 Kuau-hnaKatl - For getting up off the ground and knocking the ball loose in one motion in the first half.
1 naca'Tamalli - The other side of one of our critical failed blocks.in the first half. ”
“Happy smiles filled the Lizzies dugout after this one! As mentioned by the redoubtable Coach Irgy, not only did we avenge the previous matchup, but we also broke our seeming tradition of choking terribly in our first game of the season. All it took was a little luck! (team played well, but coach Luo still had some off-season cobwebs, and only some critical dice failures helped us to the win!)
Twahnlows:
3 pts - #4 Eric: His ag4 meant he was hard to keep pinned, and was able to steal the ball on a number of occasions. Remained a threat all game.
2 pts - #6 Steve: Its hard to not give Steve points, as he is always a presence on the field, whether blocking, guarding, or making surprise breaktackling blitzes...
1 pts - #5 Henry: Although he spent the second half in the KO box, his surprise blitz caught us unawares, and nearly allowed a breakaway TD.
In all, a good match. I played somewhat erratically, and I think it was purely the ability of my players to send the walking dead to the KO box that enabled the win. Thanks Irgy, and we'll be sure to see you again ;)”
