“The first half saw the Chappies dominate the field after a touchback landed the ball straight into the hands of a saurus. This allowed the lizards to punch through the vampire's lines and cover the ball handler with skinks stalling long enough for the lizard's number advantage to take its toll. With 2 thralls seriously injured, 1 dead and 3 vampires in the KO box with another thrall joining them, things didn't look great for Karpartarus turn 8.
Things changed drastically as a very successful round of blocking saw 1 saurus killed (the same responsible for the earlier fatality) and another KO'ed with all 3 vampires recovering.
The Chaquan's were unsure of how they would fare second half but were blessed by an old one as the vampires failed to protect the ball early enough allowing a failed blood lust roll and a double both down block to suck up (pun intended) their reroll and cause a turnover. A failed dodge from a skink put an end to this early snatch but sloppy play from the vampires enabled the lizards to get a 2 dice block on the ball defending vamp, shortly followed by a skink swiping up the ball and running towards the end zone. A successful hand off to Pwn'neer later and the Chappies were up 2:0.
Karpartarus failed to break through the scaly line in time for the possiblity of an equaliser and a 2 dice block from a mob of skinks put an end to any notion of reducing the Chappie's goal difference.
