“A see-sawing affair. Ahriman took the first drive, and despite letting his ballcarrier to be blitzed (Ahriman - "I should have known about wood elves!") he recovered and took the lead.
Our drive wasn't so effective, due to a massive lack of rerolls. Two POWs later, the ball spilled and Ahriman took the opportunity to go 2-0 in the first half. We tried for a late score, but it wasn't to be.
Second half, and now Ahriman was losing players. One niggle apothed, another gone through and some KO's as well taking a toll on the elves. For us, we still had 12 players but by turn three we were down to zero Rerolls again.
A perfect defense didn't stop us finally getting on the board, and we went on the offensive quickly with a Blitz kickoff. We managed to corner the ball and despite some 1s on handoffs and some good D by Ahirman, we got over the line. 2-2, with 2 turns left.
We both scrambled for the ball, Ahriman with only six players. Despite another Blitz, we couldn't capitalise, unwisely trying to skill up a player rather than running in the TD. A failed handoff (which would have been a failed GFI anyway) resulted in both Ahriman and I rolling 1s for the pickup. Ahriman tried one last time to get the ball downfield for the winning TD, but Peter grabbed the ball mid-air. 2-2 the final result.
Thanks for the game Ahriman, best of luck next game and welcome to SWL.

#3 - Ahriman - big game and very annoying to get rid of. Reminds me why I love sidestep so much.
#2 - Kvar Mon - worked hard, did most of the ball work
In what was a bloody initiation to the SWL, and without repeating pats commentary, although having a fast start, the second half left Elf Yourself struggling with its D capability after being left with a niggle, and two busted jaws, only the elf gods know how we managed to hold of a 3rd TD.
Thanks for the game part, onward to the norse with a 10 man team haha.
