We receive 1st half. Their bomber tosses a bomb downfield towards the ball-but a nurgling intercepts... no wait.. he's swallowed the bomb! It's a serious injury- but he regens somehow!
Our beasts have multiple instances of stupidity - both at once on turns 1 and 4 - and we can't get the ball through towards their endzone. Eventually they manage to KO our ball carrier and rob the ball, then leg it downfield. Their deathroller has to pick both-down on a 3d blitz (outa rerolls) and blows up. We get 4 dice of a blitz on the ball but can't knock him over and he dodges to score on T7.
Half time and KOs are poor for us but the ref has sent off their bomber, so it's 10 of us (1 beast) vs 9 of them.
And then we turn things around- managing to steal the ball on turn 2, then rush through to score on turn 4, clearing out quite a few of their players on the way. They set up 7 vs our 10 as we kick off at 1-1.
We get a beast on their ball carrier quickly but a -3d block pushes him back! It still looks difficult, but they pull off a series of dodges, a throw, a -1 catch and 2 GFIs to take the lead in style!
They then manage a bad kick which lets one of our players on the LOS catch the kick- so we may just have enough time to get it to their endzone for the draw! They are out of rerolls and give us an immediate turnover which makes things easier. They go for the ball on turn 8, but trip over at the last second, letting us make it 2-2 just in the nick of time!
