This was an exciting game till the end. Me being fairly new to the game vs. someone who knew teh game from before, but wasn't really sure about the exact rules anymore.

First half, I landed in a scoring position reltively early, stalling a few turns, completing passes, till turn 8 to score. Dennis made some early common mistakes, A few risky blocks, allowing me to block a player off the field and not finishing his safe moves first resulting in quick turnovers. Though he picked up quickly and with his pair of mummies to block and a few fouls from some of his ghouls and skeletons he left me with only 8 players by the end of the first half.

The second half started well for him with a bad kick resulting in one of his ghouls ending up with the ball, a hand off and a pass worked out well and by the end of the first turn, one of his ghouls backed by a wight were halfway through my side of the field on their way to the touchdown zone.
My Werewolves and Wights succesfully intercepted and after a bit of a struggle and lost balls back and forth, I ended up having a lone wight carrying the ball through his zone.
However in an attempt to shake his pursuers, my wight botched a go for it action and the ball ended back up in the hands of one of his ghouls.
Then, while his mummies, skeletons and wights -outnumbering mine- kept most of my defenders at bay, again after a few blocks and ball exchanges, one of his ghouls -again- ended up with the ball, heading for my scoring zone. However when his support of wights arrived, he took a needless risk, trying to complete a pass for some extra star player points. He dropped the ball on turn 6, allowing my werewolves and wights to catch up.
However on turn 7, my attempt to pick up the ball failed even after my last reroll and bounced in the hands of his ghouls turn. That ghoul promptly scored on turn 8 and the game was over, ending in a 1 - 1 draw. Like I mentioned, this game was interesting till the end, with a second half that was pretty chaotic.
