"Yes, its true the Cold Beers are yet again hanging from thier ankles." Asperon Thorn answered, at yet another press conferance outside his office in Coldstone. "It obviously worked last time, and if something works, you keep doing it."

The Cold Beers had just finished a 3-0 blowout against the Inland South Team Hammer to Fall, recovering some of the North's reputation after Skinksmorgusbord lost for the North last week.

"We did some extra blocking training last week. We knew that Hammer was going to hammer us, and we went in prepared. I had my boys running up and hitting trees as hard as the could all week," was Asperon's comment when asked about the incedible blocking his elves pulled off against the choas team. "As it turned out, Hammer's players were much softer than the trees were."

The key play that the Cold Beers pulled off was after they a kick off to the choas that bounced deep into thier endzone. Hammer was able to recover it, but Pale Ale caught up to him, locking him in the endzone. The Beastman tried to push him out of the way, but as Chernobyl tried to lower his head, Pale Ale grabbed him by the horns, twisted, and broke his neck.

"I have to say, that play by Pale Ale was one the best plays I had ever seen. He knew if Chernobyl was able to get some running room on him he would be in trouble, and wasn't about to let that happen." Asperon Thorn remarked. "But Pale Ale's ability to be everywhere and anywhere should not detract from the important interception that Amstead made. I don't know how that Beastman got so far behind our lines, but had Amstead not picked off that pass, they would have scored for sure."

True, as Asperon's words, Hammer did have the elves beat on that play. Amsteads quick hands, while in two tacklezones, kept Hammer from scoring, with lots of time, and possibly changing the momentum of the game.

"I AM proud of my boys today, they won against the terrible Inland South, which will hopefully start a long string of wins for the North and the Cold Beers, but they still have a long season a head of them, full of hard hitting teams. They need to focus on thier next game, now, if they even stand a chance of winning."
