“The Monarchs showed the running dodging style of play WE are renowned for constantly running forward, around and often through the defilers defence.
Early nerves gave away the first TD with the WE blitzing past the defence the defilers attempted to go long early only to fumble the ball.
The second attempt was much more controlled but the DE were unable to inflict any damage often only able to hit 1 opposition player a turn with aggresive blitzing.
Needing numbers to control the opposition we were foiled by Ivan the Terrible breaking Blades neck and Peter I getting a SI and KO. Loise the XIV was a constant threat forward with his AG5 dodging ability constantly dancing past his markers in scoring range.
Well played all round Pat and I reckon we'll see you at the top of the reggie by seasons end.

3- Ivan the Terrible - Heavy handed for a WE
2- Louise XIV - Always tying up 2 players and critical PU's
1- George II - Playing catch with George III 2nd half and scoring twice”
“This game shaped up to be a tough match between two elf teams on the way up. However, it all started a bit one sided after a Blitz followed by a failed throw allowed the Monarchs to score on their first turn. It was 1-0 before the crowd could blink.
Bob hit back however, KO’ing wood elves and caging the ball well with a Guarder stopping any chance at some elf ball craziness. Best we could do was pressure him to score, which we managed, giving ourselves 2 turns to take the lead. We pressed forward and things got a bit messy but we got over the line in the end. 2-1
Second half, and we had hit Bob a few times, meaning we were both down on players. We took the opportunity to build up some completions and cage the ball forward. Again, things got a bit messy as Bob put up a sterling defence, but we scampered over for a 3-1 win.
Thanks a heap for the game Bob, most enjoyable. Best of luck for the rest of the season.
